Social media is a very powerful tool in communicating with your customers. 

There’s a lot of available applications that you can use to connect, engage and interact with potential customers. The question of how you can start engaging your clients and customer on social media may seem difficult at first. But when you start asking your clients, your prospects, and your customers their opinions, then social media will become a great way for you to connect with them.

It is also a great way to gather information about your clients and to know what are their preferences are when it comes to the services or products that you are offering. 

Social media is a two-way engagement platform. It requires interaction on both ends. You have to give your audience or customers something where they can share their opinions with you comfortably.

Here are some ways on how you can use social media to connect and engage with your customers.

Asking a Simple Question

As mentioned above, customer loves to give opinions. They love to be heard. As an entrepreneur, you can start engaging with your audience by asking them questions like, asking what is their number one struggle in their business or field of expertise. If you are an interior decorator, you may ask them what is their number one fear about hiring a decorator or what are their concerns if they want to hire a decorator.

You can ask them about a certain product that you would think your potential customers would love to engage in giving their opinions. Another way of asking questions is by going live on social media.

Value and Respond to Reviews

The customer loves to give reviews. They love to give their opinions and no matter how positive or negative it is, either way, you should value both.  Encourage your customers to always leave a comment on your social media account and that will be another way for you to share some bits and pieces with them. 

Also, how you respond to the reviews can turn each situation around, for better or much for the worse.  But always choose to improve each day. Responding to reviews also shows how you appreciate your customer’s feedback.

Creating Poll or Surveys

Social media interactions should always be fun. Make an engaging poll where your audience has to do is only check whichever option makes the most sense for them. A simple yes or no question is more than enough to engage with your customers and you will be amazed at how powerful it can be to start a dialogue with your audience.

As we personally use social media to communicate with our family and friend; as a business owner or entrepreneur, you should also use the same way not only to communicate and build customer’s trust in the service you are offering but also to fully learn more about your target audience or prospects as well as your client’s preference.
