How many of us have plans or ideas or things we want to do with our business or in our lives, we are so excited to go in that direction because we think it’s a fantastic idea. We are always in a hurry to put our plans into action. And most of the time we fail. We fail to carry out our plans because we do not consult God about our plans.
As a Christian parallel-preneurs, our primary goal is not to make money and accumulate clients. Yes, that is always a good thing, but our primary goal should always be parallel to God’s plan in our lives. And the faith we profess should always shine in our lives, in our actions and in all our business plans.
The moment you have an idea for your business or something you want to do, take a moment and pray about it and see if it is a good idea or if it is God’s idea. Remember that not all decisions or plans we have are black or white, good or bad. Sometimes everything that comes before us seems good, but not everything that is good is part of God’s plan for our lives.
Therefore, praying about our plans is a good way to measure our business plans against the truth. We can pray for God’s wisdom and judgment. And always invite God into our decision-making process. Since God is omniscient, praying to God about everything we do gives us a chance for a better quality of life, including our business. Prayer helps us communicate with God so that we can know His heart and His plan better.
Entrusting our plans completely to God is another way we can rely on Him. When we entrust our plans to God, we place everything we do completely in His hands. When we rely completely on God for our work, He will carry out our plans. He will see to it that our plans become reality. We can expect God to bring our work to fruition in God’s way and in God’s timing if we rely completely on Him. If we seek and follow God’s will and not our own will. If we align our plans with God’s plans, we need not worry about the outcome because success will come.
God knows what he is doing. Sometimes we forget that, but He has a plan for us. God knows our heart and He knows our desires. His plan is to help you and not harm you, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). He will never withhold anything beautiful from His children. As long as we have faith.
