Obedience is the act of complying with an order given to someone. As a business owner, sometimes obeying is an issue. Since we are used to being the boss and having people do what we say, obedience towards higher authority is tricky. But we are challenged to be obedient.
If we fully trust God within our lives and business, we must be sensitive to His commands and obey accordingly. So if there’s one piece of advice to pick up today is to be obedient. It doesn’t matter how crazy it sounds if we’re confident about it, we have to be optimistic about it as well.
Whatever and wherever God directs us regarding our business, here are some essential factors to keep in mind why we need to obey:
Obedience is a primary key to success
Hearing God’s voice is vital in our lives as business owners. But obeying God’s work is more crucial than hearing alone. Obedience keeps our feet on the ground and helps us get reminded never to go ahead of ourselves.
As Christian business owners, we are always expected to obey His words. However, recognizing that someone is far better and superior to us is something that a rightful Christian should never forget.
Obedience means trusting God
When we obey someone in higher authority, we practice our trust. So when we follow God, we practice our faith and trust in His will. As business owners, we do not only put our trust in our businesses. We should also remember to put our trust in the one who also gave the company.
If we can believe and trust God in our personal lives, we should also teach ourselves to trust God in our corporate life.
