How to Handle F***

Jan 30, 2020 | Business

Hello everyone and welcome to the Nef nugget where I give you one tip that will inspire you to act and motivate you to move and let me introduce myself to some and reintroduce myself to others. I am Nefateria Fonda and I’m a business and sales coach, author, as well as a speaker for parallel-preneurs, which means you’re juggling your passion as well as your profession. You’re looking to launch something on the side of your nine to five we’ve already launched something on the side and you need some clarity on your core business components. You need to get some confidence in your selling skills so you can bring in the cash. On today’s Neff nugget, we’re talking about promoting yourself. I know a lot of you shy away from telling people about your business or what it is that you do, you don’t offer your service or your product to people when you know that they need what you’d have to offer because you feel like self-promoting is bragging.

And of course, nobody likes anybody that brags or boasts. However, we need to talk about this today because it’s imperative that you share with people what it is that you do in your business, because you never know who is in need of what you have to offer and a closed mouth does not get there, right? So if you’re telling me, if you’re not telling people about your business, then you’re missing out on opportunity because you are deciding not to self promote, right? Even though I know a lot of you may get referrals from people that you know, but the only way you’re going to get those referrals, if people know what it is that you do, you want to be top of mind for when they have that problem or that pain that you can resolve. Or if they know someone you want to be their go to person for them, right?

But you have to start self-promoting. You have to become a broken record for what it is that you do. You have to continue to say it over and over again, getting known for that thing so that you are top of mind when people need what you have to offer. So one way you can do that is to start focusing in on the problem, focusing on the problem that your ideal client has. And then that can help you remove some of the thinking about, Oh, I’m just talking about my business for myself. Let’s just think about it. If you’ve ever been in a store and somebody was in front of you and they were, it came up a little short or something happened in their car, might not, where you might’ve went in your, pocket and got some change or got a couple of dollars or just pay for their transaction because you saw the need and you want it to help them.

Right? Well the same thing when it comes to your business. If somebody is in need of what you can help them it’s your obligation to let them know what it is that you do that can help solve their problem or relieve them of their pain. When women, a lot of times we have would they say we have everything and I first put the kitchen sink. So if somebody says, Oh my God, I have this terrible migraine, you have anything, we quickly go to that person, hand them something to relieve them of that pain. Or if somebody cuts their stuff and get a paper cut at work or something and need a bandaid, we quickly go to our personally bags and get them what they need. So the same thing. I want you to think about it the same way when it comes to you solving a problem or relieving the pain of your ideal client, right?

Don’t think about it. Oh, I’m bragging about myself or Oh God, here I go again talking about my business. No, you’re helping that person. You’re helping them resolve the problem that they have. And you just happen to have a service or product that does that for them, right? So if you’re a parallel-preneur and you’re struggling with getting clear on your core business component, confident in your sales skills and you’re ready to cash in your business in 90 days or less schedule a discovery session with me at bit.ly/bookwithnef.
