How To Stop Attracting Your Less Than Ideal Clients

Good morning and welcome to the Nef nugget where I give you one tip that will inspire you to act and motivate you to move. And on today’s Nef nugget, we’re talking about what to do when you’re not attracting your ideal clients. Now, a lot of the times when we get into business, we need clients, right? Everyone means clients. And so you build a waiting list. So what do you do? You cast a wide net because you’re trying to attract clients to your business. So you’re not necessarily very specific on who you can help you kind of general and broad because you’re trying to attract clients because clients bring in money and then with money, you can continue to build and grow your business. Right? Right. So most of the time, when we do cast a broad net, we’re not attracting the ideal clients. And sometimes we have to make a decision. What type of brand do we want? Are we wanting to build a luxury brand? But we keep attracting low budget clients is that’s what happening to you? When you talk about the investments, are you met with, Oh my God, I didn’t know it was gonna be that much. Or do you even find yourself justifying the price and, and explaining yourself over and over again, right? This is when you need to check in, see if any of your marketing, your ads or social media posts, the emails that you’re writing, any of those things is it attract me that type of client. If they pick you only because you’re the cheapest. Do you have discounts all over the place? Do you have a discount for every anybody, veterans, essential workers, you name it. You give them a discount. Are you always running specials? So they never want to pay full price. They’re always looking to wait for your special to come up before they invest in your service. So look at your marketing. Look what you’re putting out there to see if you’re doing something that is attracting those type of individuals. Now there’s nothing wrong with being the Walmart in your industry. And there was nothing wrong with being the Nordstrom of your industry, but you have to make the decision. You can’t want to be the Nordstrom’s, but everything in your marketing is screaming or attracting Walmart type of shoppers. But it’s up to you to make a decision of who you want to attract. Are you wanting to be a luxury brand or a more budget friendly type of brand, either way, neither one of them is wrong, but you have to make that decision and then ensure that all the marketing that you’re putting out, all the things you’re talking about will attract and speak to the type of clients you want to attract. So your Neff nugget for you today is to decide what type of brand are you going to be? Are you going to be more budget friendly or are you going to be more luxury is totally up to you what you want to do, but you have to make a decision. You can’t be like I’m going to take any, and everybody, it doesn’t matter. I’ll make a service or I make a product that fits them. No, no, no, no. Make a decision, put a stake in the ground today and start going through all the marketing that you’re putting out in insurance, reflecting of the type of clients you want to attract. Right?
