Reason you “hate sales” and what to do about it…
“Good morning and welcome to the Nef Nugget where I give you 1 tip to inspire you to act and motivate you to move.I am Nefateria Fonda and I’m a sales coach for new business owners who probably in the business a little less than 3 years you’re a Christian, you’re your own CEO and you’re looking to build your business but you want a better strategy to turn those leads into clients. And one of the things that you’re experiencing as you thought if you create, it they will buy it and that’s not happening so and I truly believe that you should have a business bank account that reflects long night, sleepless night, sacrifices that you have made, the events that you have missed
to build your business. And so together, we create a strategy that will help you talk about as well as write about your business in the benefits of those services and products so that you can sell with ease and bring in more money bring more clients for your business.
Today we’re talking about a reason that some of you hate sales and what to do about it. Well one of the reasons that you may hate sales because you had some type of negative connotation when it came to sales well you see on TV the leasing used car salesman or you had that telemarketer that was very aggressive and just the techniques or the way they came across things you like sleazy or manipulative or so today we’re talking about like I said the reason that you may hate sales because you have a negative connotation when it came to sales
whether you seen on TV or you’ve had an aggressive telemarketer where you couldn’t get them off the phone they wouldn’t take no for an answer or something to that effect so now you hate sales. But guess what, without sales your business is broken. The definition of sales is the exchange of money for a product or service so if you’re offering a service or a product and you’re not getting any money in exchange for what you’re offering then guess what, business is broke and you just have an expensive hobby. And if nobody’s telling you that I’m here to tell you that is not how you operate your business you definitely want to operate your business that is successful and that reflects all the sacrifices that you have personally made in your business you need to make it grow and the sacrifices that you made.
So let’s kind of dig into that a little bit more about how you refrain what you think about selling and start talking about it as a way that you’re
helping individuals. Don’t think of it as you’re trying to sell them something they don’t need or you’re trying to be aggressive or pushy think about it as a way of you trying to help people. So for instance let’s just use an example that I’m selling bottled water during a marathon.
Somebody’s running past, then they slow down to get water and they realize the water that they had is no longer available the bottle was empty. There’s no more water so I’m saying I have this bottle water and I present them the bottled water I have for sale. So they pay me,
which is a sale, and they are so elated and so thankful that they had that pain and dehydration and I was able to to provide them with product, to help them eliminate their pain of thirst, or possible dehydration, help them finish that run, and nothing about that exchange is manipulative, or sleazy, slimy, or any of those things, and that was because I personally understand that selling is helping. I personally
understood that the person I was selling that water to, actually needed my help. They didn’t have a gallon of water or I was forcing them to take my water or my water was better or anything like that. They had a need and my product will helpthem with that need.
Change the way you’re thinking about selling, make sure that the people you’re helping needed your product or service, that’s something you need to find yourself. Thank you so much for joining me, if you are struggling with your business, I’m offering a free complimentary
